january the twenty-ninth, two thousand ten. hey guys, i just got a letter too. it's from the "no one gives a shit" association (nogasa). yeah, i hadn't heard of them either, but apparently they're pretty connected, because they know all about shit going on on this network. the message is pretty brief. it says "no one cares, shut the fuck up."
weird, right?

january the fifth, two thousand ten. forgive me if the date is incorrect, but i don't know how many time zones alaska has, which one we are in, or if my cell phone's time is even correct at this point.
i figured some of you might like to know that, should i survive to return to neopolis, i will then be leaving. i found an apartment in brooklyn and it'll be ready for me to move in by the first of the month.
second, i feel fairly justified in saying that dead bowie can suck fake thomas jefferson's balls.
third, fuck villain. [filtered to annie.] i hope you're feeling all right after your fight with spartacus. [filtered to toby.] what the fuck are we doing here, man? [filtered to scott.] congrats, dude. [filtered to toni.] i feel like a fucking idiot asking these questions, but one, are we cool? and if not, two, can we talk? november the eighth, two thousand nine. let it be known far and wide that henchmen with lasers will be playing at supermild on the evening of friday, the twenty-seventh of this month. let it be known far and wide that i have already acquired tickets, three of them, to be precise, through channels that cannot, must not, be named. let it be known that these tickets have not yet gone on sale and will likely sell out within minutes. let it be known that anyone who would like to attend may leave a detailed application as to why i should select them to accompany me here.
let it be known that kickball has thus far proved to be a stunning failure, and that the student body of this academy are plebeian fools for allowing this to happen. kickball hangs in the balance. sign up or it will perish.

november the second, two thousand nine. i know people are flipping out about this power shitshow at the moment, but allow me to ignore all this for the time being and hypothesize that if there's one thing i know for certain, it's that i had by far the best halloween costume this year. the reason for this is simple: i dressed up as by the far best personality this city has to offer. that personality is fake thomas jefferson. dead bowie is certainly more ostentatious, and dr. horrible and professor normal might have more pure intellect. amok certainly receives more press coverage. we all know the good mayor has far more sex with young boys, though this is of questionable worth when measuring "best personality". i could continue, but allow me to simply say this: fake thomas jefferson trumps them all. he carries himself with a simple, quiet dignity. his gardens and grounds are by far the most well laid out in neopolis, and fake monticello is perhaps the finest work of architecture in the western united states. and he has the strength of three slaves.
if you have not yet signed up for kickball, and would like to, please do so now by dropping me a line. instead of two rejects throwing a ball at one another, let's try to make it four or even eight. or maybe we could actually have enough for at least two full teams. [filtered to anna.] i hope you didn't have too terrible a time. sorry tim's place is so dirty.

october the sixteenth, two thousand nine. as lively and exciting as things have been around here over the past few days, i'm almost sad that i already had plans to go home for the weekend. wait, that's the biggest fucking lie ever. i would've been gone already if my dad had my way. he wanted me to go to the fucking dodgers game with him. does he know anything about me?
does anyone have any experience with teleportation? scientifically accomplished teleportation, that is.

october the twelfth, two thousand nine. columbus day is a travesty of a holiday.
i've had this idea going through my mind for the past couple of weeks. who wants to drop out and live in a filthy basement with me? it will reek of alcohol and clove cigarettes. there will be one light fixture, a single bulb, naked and dim. the only furniture will be mattresses, strewn on the floor along with the refuse of our lives. the walls will be covered in graffiti, stolen street signs and posters. we'll sit on our amplifiers playing our music and kid ourselves that our band will make it big. it never will, because we will be terrible.
christian isn't allowed to come.

september the thirteenth, two thousand nine. they took care of the walls pretty quickly. the roof is gonna take a couple of days. they're doing it cheap because dad's worked for the company for so long. ashley's staying in my room for the duration. i guess if there's a positive side to it, it's that we basically got to refurnish the house for free. well, maybe free. i don't know how much the insurance paid for. i guess we're lucky they paid at all, but apparently zombie apocalypses are covered in "acts of god", because of the whole apocalypse part. but anyway, we have a bunch of new furniture, and most of it is just sitting in the middle of rooms right now because we don't know what to do with it yet. mom isn't the best interior designer and dad doesn't give a fuck.
i don't like my new bed because it's not my old bed.
so it goes.

august the twenty-eighth, two thousand nine. well golly gee fucking willikers, i didn't know i was important enough for an assassination attempt. was i really that bad, ivy? can i expect similar chicanery at the dance, or have you gotten it out of your system? because i don't know about anyone else, but i'm really looking forward to this thing, and i would hate to have it sullied in any way, especially attempted murder.
oh, hey, if anyone i care about could please let me know they are all right/where they are, that would be great. dr. odd and dean weathers just tried to kill each other, i'm getting the fuck out of here.
[the initial part of the post was typed up but never posted. after chilling in the upstairs classroom for a bit, Andy pulled out his PDA and simply tacked on his new message to what he'd already written; deleting it seemed unimportant]

august the eleventh, two thousand nine. ladies and gentlemen, i have a message for you all. the message is simple. the message is this: amy andreatta has been hiding her true power. i suspect her invisibility is a cleverly hidden science device that she surreptitiously turns on and off. no, students of neopolis academy, this is not amy andreatta's true gift. her real ability is the creation of banana chocolate muffins that far surpass any i have before tasted.
and i say this to you, fellow classmates: there is little better than an enjoyable recreational activity that is of questionable legality in this state, followed by amy andreatta's banana chocolate muffins and rousing discussion with friends while idly picking at your bass. [Filtered to Anna] i don't know if she's mentioned it to you at all, but toni has been all over my fucking ass demanding i go to the dance. do you want to go or should we tell her to get fucked?
(we will probably end up going even if we tell her to get fucked, because this is antonia we're talking about.)

june the second, two thousand nine. back in the saddle. if anyone cares, i'm taking lit, geo, spec fic, h2h2, monsters in film, and pd. gonna be a joke trimester. figured a light work load was best in summer. [Filtered to Toby and Nick] i know this sucks, but i'm keeping my distance from scott right now. i don't want to make this into a dramatic "you have to choose sides" thing, but i really think it's better if we keep apart for a while. sorry for awkward bullshittery. [Filtered to Jacob] hey man - just warning you that things might be a little awkward if any of my friends stop by. also i'll probably be spending a lot of time in the room. i'll try to keep the bass playing to a minimum if it's too annoying, though. [Filtered to Toni] should we talk, maybe?

may the twenty-ninth, two thousand nine. so i've basically got nothing but time on my hands for the next three days (though strictly speaking, this is arguably always the case due to the nature of my abilities) - does anyone have any music or book recommendations? listening or playing for the former, i'm looking to spend quality time my old bass because i feel i've neglected her. and there is possibly nothing more relaxing than playing one's guitar in one's own bed.

may the twenty-sixth, two thousand nine. i hope neopolis proper is ready to get a reinflux of awesome as the return of the chicago ten is imminent, and i am glad to report that none of us have (yet) been charged with conspiracy, inciting to riot or any of the other myriad charges issued against abbie hoffman and co. [Filtered to Chicago folks - LEFG, Toni, Annie, Anna, Adam, Lettie, Christian] okay, first off i'd like to apologize for making things awkward for everyone. it was stupid and it could've and maybe should've waited. with that out of the way, i would like to remind everyone that my co-chair annie and i have planned an early morning departure time for tomorrow. so you should probably re-pack your stuff at some point today, lest toni's parents find dirty boxers under beds and discarded bras hanging from lampshades and doorknobs after we've vacated their home. [Filtered to Annie] is it too much to ask/too gay/too lame/too childish/too girly if i request that arrangements be made that i'm not in the same car as toni or scott at any point? or at least not toni.
